Another wonderful day in Iowa! We decided to skip the hotel breakfast and go over to Panera Bread. Third day in a row for Panera. It’s just a nice spot to hang out. We were going to walk over, and just as we were heading out, it started to rain.
Wow. I just read the above paragraph and was even boring myself! Lets just go with some highlights:
Brendan had his first “tummy time” today (which Daddy is calling ‘PT’). We found that if we got on the side that he wasn’t facing, and called him, that eventually he would turn his head to look at us. So sweet. He also got his first in the sink bath today. I had convinced myself that with the warm water and towel lined sink, he would like this much more than the sponge bath. Turns out notsomuch.
I found an amazing wonderland in Iowa called “Hobby Lobby”. It’s like Joann’s and Michaels all rolled into one – with a good does of Home Goods in there too. All at reasonable prices and so much variety that I got the same comforting feeling I get when I go into a Container Store – the feeling that any craft item I could ever possibly need exists here. Only we don’t have one in California. BOO!
I also took Brendan for his first shoe shopping trip with Mommy. It doesn’t really count though, because I didn’t buy anything.

There were some mixups with paperwork that will allow us to come home, so still nothing definite there. We’re lucky to be enjoying our time here so much, but at the same time… we can’t live in a hotel forever.
There is one other event that happened, but it deserves a post all unto itself. So for now, just a little more cuteness of the little man who changes so much, and captures my heart more every day.
