Life has kept a hectic pace recently – thankfully most of the busy has been FUN busy. It’s been one of those summers that goes by in the blink of an eye. We didn’t do all the things on the fun list, but we did things I hadn’t even thought to put on the list. Here are a few things I nearly forgot to remember:

– We had more fun at with the uncles including big trains, little train rides and fast pony rides in the park right by their house:

– Brendan explained that he wanted to do a family movie night. I told him that we he could just watch a little bit of movie while he had his dinner and he said “no – I want a family movie night!” I asked what made it a family movie night and he said, “when it’s special.” Apparently special means when Mommy makes popcorn and snacks and puts them on a tray with fun napkins for us to eat on the couch. He is a boy after my own heart. If we do something fun one time, why not make it a tradition?

– I nearly forgot to post these picture of Grandma and Grandpa visiting. We had a fun time including a three generation haircut (including the first haircut my dad has gotten from someone other than Mom in about 50 years)

– And a special surprise – Grandma had made Brendan his very own Music Man costume. Brendan had a fever during these pictures, so he looks a little subdued, but he feels very special when he wears this. Grandma is talented. Please don’t compare this to my Kristoff costume.
