This is either exactly the right thing, or exactly the wrong thing to be posting on Thanksgiving:
I have so much to be thankful for – all I need, really. A generous roof over my head, superfluous food to eat, health, perspective to appreciate the little things most days… I have a 10 year marriage that continues to grow with a partner whom I would choose all over again, and I have a son who has always held my whole heart in his – and always will. Most important to me, especially this year, the health and happiness of the ones I hold most dear – my entire family from Cupertino to Peabody to Eldora. I don’t need another thing, I only need to give more from my abundance.
And of course, I’m thankful for piles of leaves:

I did tell Rob that if I lived near these guys, I would just continue to make rooster sounds to these talkative turkeys all day every day, and I’d never get anything else done:
