Challenges

Three. Oh my goodness three. There was a moment last week where I feared I might not be able to blog again until he is four. Not because there aren’t a million things to remember but because it takes all my faculties to be mom to a three year old. Rob and I have commented that things seem either a lot easier or a lot harder, and last week they weighted more toward the latter. I’m convinced that three is the gateway to personhood. He’s becoming less or a baby, but is still very much a baby. I see four year olds and they seem more like kids. Three year olds are making the transition. He knows SO many things. And he is testing the limits on how far his newly developed freedom, knowledge and opinions can get him. This week has been MUCH easier, but until I have time to get myself up to date with some of my favorite moments, I thought I would share this one fun moment. Someone in Rob’s home community started a special way to spread awareness about ALS, and Daddy (and Brendan) rose to the challenge:
