Last night we had to lower the crib to it’s bottom level. Brendan isn’t consistently pulling himself up to stand, but we certainly didn’t want to wake up to the “thud” of him trying to escape. Rob asked me to help hold the base while he secured it, and Brendan jumped right in to help. I’m sure he didn’t really know what he was doing, but it sure seemed like he knew just where to hold to be helpful. And it sure seemed like he was proud to be helping Daddy.
During this project, he also did his first *real* crawling. I captured a few seconds, but it was with the fancy camera, and I’m still figuring out how to retrieve it. Let it be known that his first army crawl was to get to Chelsea, but his first real crawl was to get to a tool. Grandpa will be so proud. Between the tools and the flashlights, Grandpa and Brendan seem to have a lot in common.
