First Farm

We braved the rain today to visit the opening day for a very special farm called Farm Girl Nursery.  The family started a seed business to help raise funds to rescue and rehabilitate race horses – and today they started opening their farm to the public.  You can pick and buy flowers and produce, buy plants and seeds and fresh eggs – as well as artsy little country things.  Even better, they have animals!  I got nuzzled by a pig named Rosie, and watched chickens scamper around in the rain.  Mister B had to wake up from a quick nap to see the farm, so he had sleepy eyes at the start – but before long he was smiling and laughing up a storm.  I think his very favorite part was getting to hold onto the umbrella in the rain.  He could actually hold it all by himself over both his Mama and him – I found that to be very gentlemanly.  We loved it there.  It’s only a few minutes from our house, so I have a feeling we’ll be regulars.
