Monday Friends and Fun

Another action packed day in Boston!  We started out with a visit to Rick and Lynna’s beautiful new house – and got to know their two sons Chase and Parker all over again!  Such sweet little guys.  Of course we showed Brendan off just a little bit too.  When we got back, the cousins and Grandma Maggie were there with Anutie Dani.  Later in the day, Zip and Heather and little Leo came over to meet Brendan.  Leo and Bren are only 6 months apart, so they will get to share lots of fun as they grow up!  We also got to do an early birthday celebration for Brett’s 8th birthday including presents and Ice Cream cake. One of Brett’s presents was “The Sandlot” on DVD – his favorite movie.  He decided to show it to Brendan for the first time, so they are watching it together right now.  Bren might be dozing off a bit – but I can tell he really likes it.

Brendan got a bath today after going through 3 outfit changes and smelling a bit stinky. And Grandma cut his fingernails for me – such a treat!!!  Brett is so good with Brendan, and the twins are starting to really develop their own individual relationships with him.  I won’t mention any names, but one of them gently covers him with a blanket, rubs his head to help him fall asleep, tells him secrets and gets all excited when Brendan smiles back at him… and the other twin squats down close to him and yells right into his face, “WHY AREN’T YOU TALKING TO ME??!?!?!”.    As they were leaving, they got into their Spiderman PJ’s, and Auntie Dani asked if she could use Brendan’s face wipes on the twins so they would smell as yummy as he does.  Then a couple of the cutest Spidermen ever piled on to Uncle Robby for a piggy back ride out to the car.

Now it’s time to get back to the movie and continue my healthy eating habits (some chips are calling to me from the kitchen).  Happy Labor Day!
