Today was our friend Gabe’s birthday… the one who watched our house and dog for us while we were in Iowa! She had a gathering at Tomales Bay Oysters. It was a first for all three of us! They actually bring the oysters in from the bay, and you buy them and eat them right there. With the amazing mignonette sauce that Rob made… YUMMY! They also have grills so you can make other goodies too. The weather was perfect, the food was good, the people were fun – and Brendan was a champ and made everything more fun as always.
Tomales Bay is right near Point Reyes which is less than an hour from our house. It brought back pretty special memories for Rob and I. The last time we went out to Point Reyes was in January. When we got back, I took a nap and Rob woke me up to tell me that we had gotten our first letter from Meredith. Of course at the time she wasn’t MEREDITH, we didn’t even know her yet, but as soon as I read her letter I burst into tears because somehow I knew she would change our lives forever.
