The wonderful ladies (and some men!) at church gave Brendan a lovely shower this weekend. This is the same church that surprised my mom with a shower when she was pregnant with me. My Mom made a beautiful and delicious cake, and did a candlelight blessing – something she has written individually for every baby born into the church for the last 35 years of so… but this one was extra special. =) She had extra candles to honor Meredith and her family, and even one for our brown dog. It was a perfect visual representation of allllll the love that surrounds this little baby. What a lucky guy. Grandma had also finished the ‘real’ diaper bag and wrapped it up full of goodies. It is absolutely perfect! I will try and get some photos up later.
Brendan raked in a whole bunch of fabulous gifts – and in return he charmed everyone there with his smiles and coos and general good nature. All the little girls especially couldn’t get enough of him. And Grandma and Grandpa did a pretty good job of sharing, knowing that they would get some extra time with him at the end.
The picture of Daddy sitting in the chair makes me laugh… he looks a little tired. =)
