Just when we thought The Hampton Inn could not possibly be any more wonderful or amazing, they prove that they can be. One of the girls who works there, and whom we had become particularly close to, had given us her email address. We wrote to her when we got back, and gave her this blog address in case she ever wanted to see what Brendan was up to.
This week we got an email from the assistant manager at the hotel. I can’t really sum it up better than she wrote it, so I hope she doesn’t mind that I’m including her words here:

Brittaney shared the link to your blog with me and I must say I couldn’t stop until I went through the entire thing! I laughed, I cried but mostlly I was touched with the love that jumps off the screen through your words and photos.
I hope you don’t mind, but I stole a few of the photos to share with the staff and now your family is on our Rock Star board!! This is typically used for recognition when an employee goes above and beyond and we all feel that your family is MORE than deserving of the honor! Everyone here has said how lucky Brendan is to have the two of you as his parents. We know that you feel like the lucky ones, but know that together you’re a perfect fit!
I attached some photos of your “award”! Everyone has been wondering how you all are doing and have been thrilled to see that you made it home safe and sound.
