For those of you who noticed that the blog was down, (and when I say this, I’m referring to my Mother who not only noticed, but required pictures to be sent directly to her while she waited…) it was a problem with the company who hosts the site. Sorry about that. You probably just thought that we had stopped taking pictures. Haha – I know you didn’t think that.
We decided to celebrate Brendan’s one month birthday, and our last day of joint baby leave by introducing him to one of our favorite places – the Boonfly Cafe in Napa. We love to go there for breakfast and get their homemade doughnuts and eggs in a hole. Yum! It’s only about a half hour from our house, but feels like we have gone on vacation. Bren showed his approval by sleeping quietly through breakfast. Then the boys decided to let me have a few minutes at the outlets nearby. Thanks boys! While Daddy was feeding the baby, many people stopped to gaze him (the baby) and one particular woman insisted that Brendan looked JUST like Rob. Hilarious. I also noticed tremendous approval by the Guess store clerks as I was trying on sparkly jeans with a one month old baby in the stroller. Did I offer up that this was not a post-pregnancy body? No I didn’t.
Other fun included Rob trying out the baby bjorn for the first time (this is one of two, so we can have one adjusted for each of us – thanks Aunt Lisa!). Yesterday we also met Aunt Lisa and Cousin Charlie at the mall for a little shopping, a little playing, and some beverages at Peet’s. We have also been spending some time on the ‘tummy time’ mat, but Bren prefers to be on his back (doctor said not to much tummy time yet…). The second we sit down, there are two brown paws that make sure they are close enough to be in on the fun. Fun days for sure!
