This was a busy week, and I missed out on posting some cuteness. Rob’s M-Th back at work went well, and I did a little catching up on my first Friday back. Thank goodness Rob had to come in for a half hour meeting at my location – it meant I got to spend a little bonus time with Brendan. Even so, I couldn’t wait to get home and see my family. Rob put him in one of his “newborn” sized outfits, and it was the first one we realized was almost too small for him. Nooooooooo!!!!!!!
We are definitely getting some purposeful smiles… repeated when we do things that amuse him. At one point Brendan made us laugh by giving us a very breathy, “Gaaaaahhhh”. I explained to him that it was a very cliche baby thing for him to do, but still adorable. When we repeat “Gaaaaaahhhh” back to him, he smiles. I’ve tried to capture it on film, but he gets camera shy. I’ve also found that I now have a sure fire way to cure his hiccups – I just pull out the camera, and they go away. I guess he decided enough was enough on capturing each episode of hiccups. Probably wise to cut it off before he hits the teenage years.
The pooch also continues to help us out. She comes in and sleeps under the crib during middle of the night feedings, and as you can see, she pretty much sticks close by no matter what we are doing.
I also have to add that this morning we got a card in the mail from Meredith. I’m not going to include the words here because its just between us, but let me just say that it meant more than just about anything could. I can’t put into words how incredibly blessed we are that Meredith chose us to become part of their family. Brendan has so much love coming at him from so many places… and he will always know that. We couldn’t ask for more.
And yes, Mom… there may be a few pictures that I didn’t include in these past few posts, so You Can Find The Full Album Here.
