Day Five

I’ve decided that if the first year is the ‘zero’ year, then you also can’t be 1 day old until you’ve completed one day. Therefore Captain B has completed 5 days.  Congratulations little guy!  He is already changing so much and doing some fun tricks.  Today we noticed that he is more alert and focused when he is awake – he will really stare at your face or other objects, and especially likes this little book we got him with black and white drawings (his eyes get so WIDE when he looks at the book… ).  He has also decided that when we hold his face to burp him, that whatwe are really doing is offering him our fingers to suck on.  He does it every time.  I love it.  Today was our last day with Grandma and Grandpa Casler, so there was lots of extra nice snuggle time with them.  For Brendan at least, they didn’t seem all that interested in snuggling with us.
